Automotive Catalytic Convertors and Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF)
Car catalysts and particulate filters often, but not always (!), Contain precious metals such as Platinum (Pt), Palladium (Pd) and Rhodium (Rh).
It is the amount of these metals that determines the cost of a spent catalyst or filter.
To determine the amount of precious metals, you need to remove the product from the metal case and analyze the content using an XRF analyzer (we provide this service free of charge).
The amount of your catalitic/filter is determined by the content of precious metals and weight.
Wet catalysts, contaminated with oil or other liquids are accepted at a discount or not at all.
